He first introduces readers to the big picture of microelectronics, followed by discussions on diode models and circuits, bipolar circuits and MOS circuits. Then he provides insight into an operational amplifier as a black box, cascades and current mirrors, frequency response, analog filters and more. The book comprises chapters on basic physics of semiconductors, diode models and circuits, physics of bipolar transistors, bipolar amplifiers, frequency response, and analog filters. In addition, the book consists of several diagrams, illustrations, examples and chapterwise questions to help understand the concepts better. The reason is the electronic devices divert your attention and also cause strains while reading eBooks. Behzad Razavi received his B.

Overview of Microelectronics

Introduction to Microelectronics

Microelectronics is a subfield of electronics. As the name suggests, microelectronics relates to the study and manufacture or microfabrication of very small electronic designs and components. Usually, but not always, this means micrometre-scale or smaller. These devices are typically made from semiconductor materials. Many components of normal electronic design are available in a microelectronic equivalent. These include transistors , capacitors , inductors , resistors , diodes and naturally insulators and conductors can all be found in microelectronic devices.

Introduction to Microelectronics, Second Edition covers significant progress in microelectronics, especially in the field of semiconductor memories. This book is composed of 12 chapters that also consider the wide are of applications of microelectronics. The opening chapters deal with the basic theory and processing of silicon devices and integrated circuits. Considerable chapters are devoted to the basic logic, amplifier, MOS, thin- and thick-films, and hybrid circuit components of microelectronics. A chapter describes the features of metal-insulator-semiconductor devices. The last chapters review the microwave applications of microelectronics. He was previously responsible for the development of a renewable energy and alternative fuel programme for Renew Tees Valley Ltd, UK, and he is noted for his research in optimisation and control.

2nd Edition

It seems that you're in Germany. We have a dedicated site for Germany. This book serves as a practical guide for practicing engineers who need to design analog circuits for microelectronics. Readers will develop a comprehensive understanding of the basic techniques of analog modern electronic circuit design, discrete and integrated, application as sensors and control and data acquisition systems, and techniques of PCB design. Maurizio Di Paolo Emilio is a Ph. He has worked on various international projects in the field of gravitational wave research. Actually, He works in the X-ray field to design new devices about High Voltage X-ray and Microbeam for radiobiological and microscopy applications.
